General informations

This year’s Music Camp Skolion will take place from 7th to 16th July 2016.   1. Arrival of participants is on the 7th July 2016 after 16:00 hours. The organizers will welcome participants and take them to their rooms, after settling in the participants must hand-over the necessary documents (parental consent, confirmation of payment) After dinner the participants will have a meeting with the organizers and the host / hostess of the Camp where they will find out the details about the classes, their responsibilities and the rules of conduct during the camp. 2. Accommodation and joint activities

The participants of the Music Camp Skolion will be located in the hostel of the Education and Rehabilitation Camp of the Croatian Association of the Blind in Premantura. The accommodation includes full board. The hostel has double rooms (with the possibility of adding a third bed) and the organisers will decide on the accommodation arrangements. The hostel is a 2-minute walk from the centre where you can find amenities such as shops, kiosks, pastry shops, ATMs and similar. Chamber Music

As before, at the Music Camp Skolion, in addition to individual masterclasses, the students take part in different chamber ensembles which will be formed taking into consideration the students’ age and affinities, as well the requirements of the music arrangements. This year’s chamber ensembles will be formed under the guidance of prof. Miguel Madaleno and prof. Andre Issa for guitars and prof. Neven Radaković, who will answer your questions about chamber music and its particularities. Participation in chamber ensembles will provide the students with the experience of working in groups. Flamenco guitar

This year, in addition to individual instrumental masterclasses the participants to the Music Camp Skolion can choose to participate to a Flamenco masterclass under the guidance of two teachers from Portugal, Miguel Madaleno and Andre Issa. In addition to the experience of working in a group, this masterclass will provide insight into compositions that one, perhaps, doesn’t come across every day. Further, the participants will be able to experience a different teaching system than the one we’re used to in Croatia. We guarantee it’s going to be dynamic and fun.
